Since Cliff Morgan's death in 2014 an intense dispute began for The Gardeners spoils. Yanna Mason, Cliff's widow, assured to be of ownership of a reasonable amount of material produced by the former-gardener so much in his solo-career as at that time of band and she had real interests in its publishing. The fear that Yanna could release this material as referring only to the individual work of Cliff it mobilized other former-integral Gregor, Mike and Pat to fight to their rights in the British justice which decided to suspend the commercial exploration of all personal catalogue while the case was running in the courts. After three years of accusations and without enough tests for both sides, the Supreme British Court decided not to grant cause gain to none of the two parts. The decision of the justice ended up forcing a friendly understanding among both parts and like this Yanna, Gregor, Mike and Pat reached an agreement that allowed the viability and release of the Anthology project which was included Double-CD, DVD, book and documentary. Composed in its largest part for studio takings, singles, alternative and demo-tracks the double-album THE GARDENERS ANTHOLOGY is a x-ray of the work produced by Welwyn Garden City group for 10 years of career. Among 29 tracks that form the first disc and 21 in the second stand out 'For You Come Back' the last song composed by Morgan and Stevens, with Gregor's arrangement and Cliff's lyrics and that in fact is the only unpublished music of the album and 'Till Death Of Us Apart' a partnership between The Gardeners and The Doors keyboarder, Ray Manzareck, taking a poem written by Jim Morrison and released in the commemorative album to the rock n'roll 50 years in 2004. Other highlights of the disc are the first compositions of The Gardeners 'We Must Dream for Getting a Better Life' and 'Words', the singles 'Liberty's Voice', 'She Can Forever' and 'When You Loved Me' more 3 tracks extracted from MIGRAINE BOY in the second participation of the band in the radio-program BBC Sessions in 2001 and the four musicians depositions. The alternative versions of great successes also are included in THE GARDENERS ANTHOLOGY as the initial versions of 'The Man of Yellow Cover' and 'The Time's Over' and 'Onion Stones Forever' without orchestra, 'Christiane' sung in spanish language with the name of 'Marcellita' and a early version of 'Tales and Stories' for the MTV Unplugged. In addition to collective takings there is space for some individual performances as 'Harpha Gregorius' by Gregor Stevens and 'Reasons of Love' by Cliff Morgan when they presented these songs to the other partners. The Anthology moments more relaxed are mistakes made during the recordings case of 'The Lady and the Tramp' and 'Orgasm' in that Cliff bursts laughter out ready to begin to sing the spicy letter of the track. For the former-vocalist's orphans still appears a poem declaimed by Cliff done by himself. For the band's orphans THE GARDENERS ANTHOLOGY passes a feeling in general that the time didn't pass and The Gardeners can still to satisfy.
